Charlotte has been a writer forever. She studied social policy and politics at Massey, then headed into the not for profit sector to work for organisations focussing on sustainability. After moving to a small rural community she had to get creative to earn a crust, starting up a number of businesses and using her communications skills to work remotely for organisations around New Zealand (before working remotely was the norm) as a researcher, journalist, blogger, author, book producer, newspaper founder, event coordinator, event host, singer/songwriter, community builder and oh so many other roles. These days, she works remotely for PledgeMe, supporting folk to run successful project crowdfunding campaigns, and reach out to their crowd. She lives with her deliciously rowdy family at the foot of some limestone cave-riddled hills.
Why are you passionate about working with startup founders?
Wearing my PledgeMe hat - I love the creative process and mindet dance that startup founders experience. This applies to the crowdfunding process too! Creatively and mindset are huge!
What experience do you have working with startup founders?
I've been working for PledgeMe for nearly years as projects and marketing lead, supporting hundreds of people to run project campaigns. I've also started a few business projects myself. Some failed, some succeeded, some I'm still running today. Always learning.
