I have been in the HealthTech space for over 23 years and my international experience spans the commercialisation of biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries.
Four years ago, I joined Alimetry, a MedTech startup on a mission to make gut health accessible to everyone, as COO and one of their first employees—a return to the startup world after over two decades working in the US and NZ in clinical research, roles at major U.S.-based multinationals, a decade at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, and board positions with organisations dedicated to bridging the gap between science and commercialisation in New Zealand.
Why are you passionate about working with startup founders?
New Zealand boasts an incredible pool of talent, yet limited access to global exposure often constrains our ability to think ambitiously and plan strategically. I am deeply passionate about unlocking this potential by enabling and empowering individuals to dream big, aim high, and achieve on a global scale.
What experience do you have working with startup founders?
I have chaired the Return on Science Medtech and surgical committee for 5 years and have work as the COO, CCO and Chief of staff at Alimetry since 2020. I have also served as mentor to multiple start up founders and sit on the board of Te Tītoki Mataora – MedTech Research Translator.
