Apart from a stint in Australia working for a company contracting to a coal mine, she has spent most of her career in professional services specializing in tax. She works with clients across a range of sectors (Agri, retail, tech, manufacturing, property, etc.) and a range of sizes, from those just starting right up to listed and offshore entities.
Why are you passionate about working with startup founders?
I love seeing people do well and working with founders is especially rewarding. The road in front of founders if often challenging but also extremely exciting - if I can help someone navigate a challenge and help add to their success along the way, I find this very satisfying.
What experience do you have working with startup founders?
Over the years I've worked with a number of startup founders in different sectors and at different stages along the journey assisting with expansion into offshore markets, dealing with employee tax issues (such as offshore employees, contractors, employee share schemes & personal tax), asset/business acquisitions/sales, NZX listings, interactions with Inland Revenue on specific matters and the list goes on....
I like to work with business owners to find pragmatic solutions to problems they are facing.
