Johnathan Eele

Johnathan has more than 20 years communications industry experience in New Zealand and overseas where he has held leadership roles spanning the wholesale, enterprise, government and consumer sectors. He also has significant regulatory affairs experience. Before joining Enable, Johnathan was based in Auckland as Chief Executive Enterprise, Government and Wholesale at Vocus. Prior to that, his career included founding Black + White;a specialised business telco as well as working in the UK, Ireland, USA and New Zealand for companies such as Cable & Wireless, Hutchison Whampoa, and Telecom NZ (now Spark). His roles have covered marketing, procurement, product management, sales and general management.
Why are you passionate about working with startup founders?
Having been a founder and come out the other side Johnathan is keen to both add to others pathway but also enjoy the ride vicariously.
What experience do you have working with startup founders?
Johnathan found Black + White a wild ride and he was lucky enough to have other founders in his orbit. Since then the wholesale business he ran has startups as a key customer segment which has given him the pleasure and the pain of working with many founders.
