Managing Partner & Director
Nicola is the Managing Partner and Director of Founders Advisory, and boutique investment CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) business and sits on a number of Boards in the CPG sector. Nicola has had a career of over 20 years across private sector branded FMCG business, where she spent the majority of her career in brand marketing, digital, innovation, e-commerce and commercial operations roles. She has a broad suite of general management skills that allow her to quickly understand the fundamentals of different businesses, channels and consumers. Nicola's commercial expertise spans from blue chip companies in the consumer goods industry, to private equity backed businesses and more recently a passion for CPG start ups scaling into Asia Pacific and USA markets.
Why are you passionate about working with startup founders?
There is an enthusiasm and energy that comes with working with founders that are deeply passionate about what they are trying to achieve and have a clear purpose and mission. The hustle required to accelerate early start ups is invigorating and I enjoy supporting founders on this journey. I believe that we have an obligation to support and stimulate the Founder community in New Zealand, especially in FMCG / CPG sectors which are typically underrepresented and under supported.
What experience do you have working with startup founders?
I am an advisor and director in over 8 start-up founder-led businesses in the CPG industry scaling into the New Zealand, Australia and US markets and advised a many number of other CPG businesses through the NZTE Beachhead program. Prior to this I have personally lead the Lewis Road Creamery business and successfully commercialised the brand into the US and China markets.
