Rohan has spent over 25 years in commercial and Not For Profit fields with deep expertise in strategy, technology, reputation, sustainability and investment.
His experience includes management consulting, corporate and Government roles, Board governance, venture capital and leading a start-up. He is currently a partner at the Climate Venture Capital Fund, and chair of social services agency Lifewise. He is based in Auckland.
Why are you passionate about working with startup founders?
Because as an ex-founder I know how challenging it can be. I believe good advice and a little friendly support at the right time could be the difference between a start-up making it and not making it. We need to support our innovators to reinvent our economy, particularly in the area of emissions reduction/ climate response which is my focus.
What experience do you have working with startup founders?
I've been working in and with the start-up community in Australia and New Zealand since the latter part of the 1990s, in various guises - initially with a focus on internet and Web services, then enabling cloud-based and data-intensive solutions, and more latterly with a focus on emissions reduction and decarbonisation.
