Coffee and Jam #296

Coffee & Jam is Christchurch's longest running weekly meet up for entrepreneurial-minded people. It’s a great place to see ordinary people doing extraordinary things, be inspired, network, and share in an innovative space.

This week's speakers are:

1. Luke Campbell: Vxt

Luke Compressed

Luke is a fourth-year student at the University of Canterbury, studying a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Economics. After receiving one too many voicemails, Luke founded Vxt in late 2018, a voicemail inbox application which converts voicemails to text and provides users with smart tools to deal with a large amount of voicemail. Luke is currently working on Vxt with two other full-time students, getting it ready to launch later this year. Luke will be speaking about Vxt and their goals for the rest of the year.

2. Roman Jewell - Fix and Fogg

Roman Jewell founded Fix & Fogg with his wife in late 2013 when they were expecting their first child. Previously both lawyers, they made the choice to leave behind corporate life and decided their time and energy to create something meaningful, sustainable and delicious. Today, Fix & Fogg has grown into a national brand employing 17 people and exporting to Australia and Singapore and the United States.
Roman will be talking about his journey over the last 5 years and what he learnt along the way – the tips, secrets and hard-fought life lessons. Come along if you’re thinking about starting a business, have already started something, or if you just want to hear a good story (and have a laugh).

Coffee and Jam is your opportunity to meet new people in the Christchurch entrepreneurial ecosystem and indulge in a little bit of free coffee, jam and fresh bakery bread.
