Chelsea Aitken and Millie Morgan, the co-founders of New Zealand and Beyond- A company overcoming the barriers for the SME’s of New Zealand to enter the Chinese market.
After studying e-commerce and Chinese consumer behaviour in Shanghai and Beijing Chelsea and Millie noticed that the e-commerce climate created an incredible opportunity for New Zealand companies. However, small and medium enterprise were extremely unrepresented in the Chinese market. Upon arriving back in New Zealand Chelsea and Millie made it their mission to decrease the barriers for the SME’s in New Zealand to enter the Chinese market, leading to the creation of New Zealand and Beyond. Chelsea and Millie will be speaking about the validation of New Zealand and Beyond and the lessons the start-up faze have taught them thus far.
Clare Ding - Fulton Hogan: The road to plastic recycling
Clare Dring, National Product Manager at Fulton Hogan has oversight of the technical aspects and quality of products Fulton Hogan produces. Clare first started in the roading industry as a student but found a keen interest and passion industry after being given the opportunity to develop a number of products. Clare will be talking about Fulton Hogan’s approach to product development with particular focus on PlastiPhalt ®, an asphalt that utilises recycled plastic.
