This week's speakers are:
1. Steve Leftly - MYOVOLT
As the world's leading expert in the field of electronic textiles, Steve has worked as research scientist in the smart textiles or wearable technology field since the industry's inception. He's worked as Senior Scientist for Canesis where he co-founded Softswitch technology and Fibretronic, both pioneers in textile electronics. He has also authored many technology patents while working with leading global brands such as Nike, Apple, Levis, Adidas, and North Face developing and scaling their wearable electronics product solutions. Steve now develops Olympic athlete performance wearables and is a founder of MYOVOLT, the world’s first Wearable Vibration Technology for sports performance, injury recovery and medical applications.
2. Faisal Abbas - Orbica - M-Apps or Modern day mapping applications
Faisal has over 13 years’ experience in the IT industry and eight years’ experience in managing, designing and developing Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Management Information Systems (MIS). He is a system integrator bringing together data from disparate systems into logical and information rich applications. Faisal’s significant skills extend to building mobile applications and products for a range of medium to large organisations. His key competencies are problem solving, communication, systems design, business and process analysis, innovation and being a team player.
Faisal will talk about how you can visualise spatial/location data and how you can use location data to get insights and answer various business questions.
