Coffee & Jam is Christchurch's longest running weekly meet up for entrepreneurial-minded people. It’s a great place to see ordinary people doing extraordinary things, be inspired, network, and share in an innovative space.
This week's speakers are:
1. Bruce Emson - Karit
Bruce is co-founder of Karit, a company bringing new energy management solutions to consumers across Australasia.
A change leader and veteran of the corporate energy & electrical sector, Bruce will be speaking about Karit’s proposition and the difficulties of competing against regulated monopolies in the industry.
2. Michael Trengrove - Electric Garden
Michael Trengrove is the Founder and General Manager of the NZ charity – Digital Future Aotearoa (DFA). DFA exists to help all New Zealanders succeed in the digital world and operates Code Club Aotearoa, the Electric Garden and She Can Code. More than 10,000 New Zealanders are reached each week through their programmes, powered by a national network of 1600 registered and very active volunteers. Michael will be sharing about launching their new social enterprise, the Electric Garden, teaching youth to grow their own food supported by IoT sensors and enabling teachers to deliver high tech classes through the medium of a school or community vegetable garden.
Coffee and Jam is your opportunity to meet new people in the Christchurch entrepreneurial ecosystem and indulge in a little bit of free coffee, jam and fresh bakery bread.
