EVENT RECAP: Coffee and Jam #200!

Coffee and Jam

Tuesday 14th March

Today went off with a bang, a delicious chocolate cake and an exciting announcement as we celebrate our 200th session of Coffee and Jam!

First Speaker: Andy Masters – The future of Money (Bitcoin)

Bitcoin is a new type of open-source, digital money, which uses peer-to-peer technology allowing anyone to direct and manage their own currency. Bitcoin is thus a decentralised currency, which doesn’t involve any governmental or bank authority. Bitcoin was invented 10 years ago and has been exponentially growing in popularity since 2011. It now has a worth of $20 trillion US dollars.

Ministry of Awesome and EPIC are excited to present their brand new EAA – Epic Awesome Alliance. EPIC and Ministry of Awesome both want to create an even bigger impact on the entrepreneurial community, in Christchurch and all across New Zealand. So, they are co-creating a space for the community; a Town Hall for the future. This alliance will transform a section of the Epic Innovation Campus into a community space. Whether you are a committed member of the entrepreneurial community, or completely new to it, you can walk in and instantly feel connected.

We have a community, now all we need is a space.

Coffee & Jam is Christchurch's longest running weekly meet up for entrepreneurially-minded people. It’s a great place to see ordinary people doing extraordinary things, meet people, learn and share in a creative space, hear about other events in Christchurch and indulge in a little bit of free coffee, jam and bread.
