What is the Marketing Bootcamp @Te Ōhaka?
The Marketing Bootcamp is a two and a half day long, intensive competition for students of ALL DISCIPLINES across Ara Institute of Canterbury.
If you're selected, you will:
Get 2.5 Days of totally immersive, hands-on learning from some of the best marketing talent in NZ
Get to do a REAL WORLD marketing campaign with REAL $$$ for REAL outcomes
Get the chance to raise your profile and connect with our city's leading influencers, industry experts, and commercial leadership
Have an absolute blast and make some awesome new friends!
When and Where?
The Bootcamp runs from 9-530 Monday, 8 July and Tuesday, 9 July finishing at 1PM on Wednesday, 10 July.
If your team makes the final, this is held on Thursday, 11 July.
Successful teams will continue on towards implementation on their own flexible schedules throughout the rest of the month.
The programme will run from the Te Ōhaka - Centre for Growth & Innovation which is in Building K on the Ara Christchurch Campus.

The competition is open to enrolled Ara students from any department. You don’t have to be a business student to apply. We absolutely and wholeheartedly encourage applications from engineering, ICT, creative industries and other disciplines.
Diversity of thought is key to driving innovation and the most successful outcome will therefore be one that comes from groups with diverse skill sets and backgrounds.
Can Ara alumnis apply? No, only enrolled students at the Ara Institute of Canterbury can apply.
Can I apply alone? Students must apply individually and will be placed in teams.
Should I pay to be part of the programme? No, the Marketing Bootcamp is a fully funded programme run for Ara students.
Do I need to be a marketing student to apply? The Marketing Bootcamp is open to registered Ara students from any department. Diversity is one of the cornerstones of innovation and we encourage students of any background to apply.
Can I work during the programme? The Bootcamp is 2.5 full days, so it is best not to commit to any other work over the time that the bootcamp is on.
Can I apply as a team? You cannot apply as a team for this bootcamp.
