Teaming Up Ara Faculty and Students With High Growth Startups

Te Ōhaka Matchmaking is the opportunity for the faculty and learners at Ara Institute to get teamed up with high-growth startups from Ministry of Awesome’s past and present incubator and accelerator programmes.

Springboard and Research Hub programmes bring together a dream team of students, faculty, and startup founders for a game-changing collaboration to tackle commercially important projects.

Think of it this way: Springboard gives students the chance to flex their muscles on real-world projects and connect with talented and driven individuals, while startups get a fresh perspective from bright-eyed and bushy-tailed students. And with Research Hub, startups have the ultimate sidekick – access to brilliant faculty and the chance to generate valuable IP and better products.

So, if you’re a startup looking to level up and find innovative solutions, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to join forces with the future of entrepreneurship and research. Fill out the form below to express interest in participating.

Team up with Students: Springboard

Springboard is your opportunity to tackle a big project with a skilled, ambitious, open-minded student (or perhaps two!) from Ara who seek real-world experience in innovation. Each student is responsible for working between 100 and 300 hours on a capstone project to satisfy their degree or diploma requirements. And you can help them do so while also receiving their contribution to your company. Come to the info night to learn more about what applicable Springboard projects look like and how to vie for them.

Team up with Faculty: Research Hub

Research Hub is your opportunity to determine a method, create a process, and generate value IP with one of the many PhDs on Ara's staff. The university and its staff needs to engage with industry (you!) as part of its mandate and mission. These projects include 300+ hours of work for one or more faculty and have the potential to result in publication, presentation, or other research output. Come to the info night to learn more about what applicable Research Hub projects look like and how to vie for them.
