New Zealand’s most innovative and promising food or beverage product may be quietly lurking in a local farmers’ market now, but thanks to a new competition - this time next year it could be on New World supermarket shelves right across the South Island.
The food and beverage business is hard and winning the full support of New Zealand’s largest supermarket giant is a priceless opportunity. FoodStarter launches on September 10 and is open to any food and beverage entrepreneur with an innovative product with the potential to fly off supermarket shelves. Entries for the competition close on Sunday 7th of October at 11.59pm.
The competition is the brainchild of Ministry of Awesome and Foodstuffs South Island, who along with some of the best experts in the business, will select a passionate business owner who has the drive and passion and an innovative, sustainable, on-trend product. The winner receives a tangible package worth more than $85,000 BUT the biggie is the business incubation package which includes the chance to set up a manufacturing base in Canterbury and guaranteed placement of the winning product in New World supermarkets across the South Island.
So what are you waiting for, if you have a product that is innovative and shelf ready in 12 months - enter here!
