StickyStudy has made impressive strides since joining Founder Catalyst. Founders, Logan, Josh, and Fabian are making the most of the space and connections available. We spoke with them to discover how they've leveraged the programme to achieve success and create impactful solutions.
What is StickyStudy?
Fabian: StickStudy is a web app where you can consolidate all your learning into one place, using visuals and spatial association to make it easier to recall information later.
Logan: It started because we, the founders, are passionate about our own learning. We read a lot but found we were forgetting most of what we read, so we wanted a product that combined everything we knew about the best learning methods into a single, well-designed platform.
We use scientifically proven methods to significantly improve students' or learners' memory. 
What was your motivation for applying for Founder Catalyst?
Fabian: The motivation was to be part of a community and a team that helps us see the bigger picture. We didn't want to get stuck in the small problems that often arise when working on your own. We sought morale, perspective, encouragement, and opportunities from the programme.
Logan: Founder Catalyst provides a central space to organise all our efforts, which makes a huge difference, especially since Josh and Fabian moved to Christchurch to start this. It's nice to have backing and a supportive community.
Josh: Having a workspace separate from home is a significant advantage. It helps create a clear distinction between work and leisure, which is essential for maintaining mental clarity.
They also benefit from accountability, as the group supports self-improvement and helps hold each other accountable for their goals.
Logan: Additionally, it's a chance to be exposed to new ideas and perspectives. People often share insights from books, articles, or life experiences that others may not have encountered, providing a valuable opportunity to broaden their horizons.
Why would you recommend other founders join Founder Catalyst?
Logan: For me, it's about the environment. No single programme or mentor can guarantee a startup's success, but together, they create a positive energy that impacts what you can accomplish day by day and week by week. Being part of a community offers support through doubts and uncertainties, and helps you focus on your work by separating work from other environments.
Fabian: Working in a dedicated space rather than at home makes the process feel more substantial and real. It helps combat imposter syndrome, as you're surrounded by a community of successful individuals. It’s encouraging to see others' achievements and realise that we have the same potential to succeed.
